Who are you?
I came from New Zealand, and am currently spending two years working and travelling through Canada. Coming from the South Island of New Zealand I love being out in nature and explore the outdoors.
What’s your favourite part about Vancouver?
That you can be sipping on a coffee in Downtown Vancouver one minute and then just thirty minutes later be out in the complete wilderness hiking through stunning BC rainforest surrounded by nothing but nature.
For a good meal in Vancouver I would go to…
The Flying Pig (1168 Hamilton St, Yaletown). This Restaurant a great warm and inviting mid-range restaurant with excellent service and delicious dining options.
What’s ONE attraction or activity would you recommend most to someone visiting Vancouver?
Cycling or walking along the Seawall around Stanley Park is a great way to spend a free day in Vancouver. With Stanley Park being home to many great attractions such as the Vancouver Aquarium, Horse Drawn Tours, Tea House and many walkways through the beautiful Douglas Fir Pines that tower above you. From the seawall around Stanley park you also get great views overlooking Burrard Inlet to the North Shore and over English Bay to Point Grey and Kitsilano Beach.
What makes a good tour at the Vancouver Lookout?
The best tours at the Lookout are when you get a group that interacts and engages, making for a fun and informative experience.
When you are not working, what do you like to do?
Being new to the city, when I have time off work I love getting out and exploring Vancouver’s many attractions.
