Who are you?
I am a 20-year-old student who loves travel and discovery. I had the pleasure of living in and exploring the island nation of Indonesia for 6 years and since moving back home to begin my undergraduate in English Literature and Classical Studies at UBC I have had a blast rediscovering the country where I grew up!
What’s your favourite thing about Vancouver?
I love the diversity of Vancouver’s citizens and attractions. I read once that Canada is like a tossed salad of cultures and peoples, and I feel like Vancouver is the perfect example of that.
For a good meal in Vancouver I would go to…
Steamworks, near the Waterfront Station in Gastown. They have a fishbowl beer-garita that is to DIE for.
What is the ONE attraction or activity you would recommend to someone visiting Vancouver?
I would definitely recommend the Vancouver Aquarium. The exhibits and habitats are all beautifully put together, and the way that they incorporate sustainability and science into the experience is really commendable. It was my favourite place as a kid and it remains one of the most interesting and vibrant attractions in Vancouver.
What makes a good tour at the Vancouver Lookout?
A good tour is one that incorporates the diversity of city and that takes into account the interests and passions of the guides and the visitors alike.
When you are not working, what do you like to do?
I love to read, especially fantasy and adventure, and explore Vancouver with friends and family.
