Who are you, Luisa?
Originally from Colombia, after living in Toronto and Berlin, I am happy to finally call Vancouver my home. I am a third year Tourism Management student at Capilano University, and I am very excited to be a part of this wonderful industry. I have worked in Mount Seymour, Whistler, and at the Capilano Suspension Bridge. I love the outdoors, and will go the distance for an exciting new trail.
What’s your favourite thing about Vancouver?
Vancouver has been one of the nicest cities I have lived in. One of my favourite things about it is how many green areas there are, the hiking options here are surreal. The proximity of the beach and mountains are something that are not often found.
For a good meal in Vancouver I would go to…
Just take a stroll along Commercial drive, you will find something to satisfy every craving.
What is the ONE attraction or activity you would recommend to someone visiting Vancouver?
One of my favorite places has been Sewell’s Marina in West Vancouver, I would strongly recommend the Sea Safari. It is very rare experience where you get to see nature from a unique perspective, it should not be missed.
What makes a good tour at the Vancouver Lookout?
When your guide is able to bring a genuine feel to each tour, that and each of our unique personalities make for a great tour.
When you are not working, what do you like to do?
I am often found outside, discovering new hiking spots, or just adventuring around the city.
