Who are you?
My name is Emma and I’m going onto my 4th year at UBC majoring in Political Science. I take interest in global issues and international politics, making me a globally aware individual. One of my hobbies is performing improvisational theatre. I’m on an improv team at UBC during the school year, and during the summer I perform improv with Instant Theatre. I always strive for real life experiences, which to me means seizing the day and constantly trying something new. You can always find me at any live concert, comedy show, theatre, dance, etc. because those are some of the best experiences for me. Lastly, I also really enjoy the outdoors. I love to ride my bike wherever I can and go on hikes as much as possible.

What’s your favourite thing about Vancouver?
My favourite thing about Vancouver is how there is a perfect balance between city and outdoors, and the intervening of both of them into daily life. I love the fact that I can do a decent and beautiful hike that’s nearby during the day, and still make it to any sort of show at night. It’s the best of both worlds.

For a good meal in Vancouver I would go to…
Stepho’s on Davie Street. Amazing Greek food for an amazing price.

What is the ONE attraction or activity you would recommend  to someone visiting Vancouver?
One attraction I would recommend is Granville Island because of how many things there are to do there. Good food, great shops, beautiful scenery and some of the best improv in town!

What makes a good tour at the Vancouver Lookout?
A good tour at the Vancouver Lookout is one that is up to date of current events in the city to be recommended to the visitors. So many things happen in this city that aren’t always year round that could really make a visitors trip unique! Another aspect of a good tour is one that is able to accommodate to the visitors interests. Some might be more interested in the architecture of downtown Vancouver while some are more interested in the history. Being able to provide the visitors needs and answer questions as best as possible makes a great tour!

When you are not working, what do you like to do?
I like to go to any sort of entertainment or show that is happening in the city. I would usually go to a comedy show or concert. If there is nothing happening then you can probably spot me at Kitsilano Beach.
